Keerai Masiyal


 


 

Ingredients :

 

Greens (Keerai) - 2 punches

(washed and chopped)

Sambar onion - 15 nos

Tomato - 3 nos

Green chilly - 4 nos

Garlic - 5 nos 

Salt - to taste


For Seasoning :


Oil - 1 tbs

Mustard - 1tsp (channa dal , urad dal)

Jeera -1tsp

Asafoetida - 1 pinch

Red chilly - 2 nos


Method: 


In a  pan ,  put  chopped onion , tomato, garlic and green chillies  and 

add a little amount of water  to boil.

After they cooked well put aside to come to normal temparature. 

Cook the Green (keerai ) in a separate pan   

without lid  and in a sim position of your gas stove.

Allow this keerai also come to room temperature.  

First stir the cooked onion, tomato, garlic and green chillies ,

salt  and then add the cooked keerai 

and stir for another one or two minutes. 

Don't grind well.  For seasoning put oil in a pan , add  mustard and jeera, 

allow it to splutter and add red chillies and asafoetida, 

and pour it into the keerai masiyal.. 

Serve with hot rice or chappathi.
