Paasi Paruppu Dhal























Ingredients:



Paasi paruppu - 1 cup

Onion - 1 no (medium size, chopped) 

Tomato - 1 no (chopped)

Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

Jeera - 1 tsp

Turmeric powder - 1 tsp 

Sambar powder - 1 tbs

Asafoetida - 1 pinch 

Curry leaves - a handfull

Coriander leaves - a handfull

Salt to taste

Oil - as youy need




Method:


             Pressure cook the paasi paruppu with a pinch of turmeric powder and asafoetida.

                                In a pan heat oil  add mustard seeds and  jeera to splutter. 


        Add the chopped onion , tomato, and curry leaves . Saute a while with a pinch of salt.


  


                              Then add the cooked dhal and sambar powder and adjust salt.





                                                 Finally garnish with coriander leaves....







  This paasi paruppu dhal is very nice match to chappathi, hot rice, idli , dosai and also puris...
