Pepper chicken




Chicken - 1/2 kg

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbs

Small onion - 8 nos (peeled and finely chopped)

Pepper - 1tbs

Pattai - 2 nos 

Lavangam - 2 nos

Sombu - 1 tsp

Coconut - 1 tbs (shreded)

Turmeric powder - 1 tsp

Curry leaves - 2 hands full

Coriander leaves - to garnish

Salt to taste


Peeled and chopped the small onion. 

Dry fry pattai , lavangam , pepper, sombu and the shreded coconut and 

make them a nice paste with a few curry leaves and little water.

In a thick bottomed pan put oil to heat add the chopped onion , 

saute well till it turns brown and add ginger garlic paste and curry leaves.

And then add the chicken pieces and salt and turmeric powder. 

Add a little water and stir well and close it with a lid. 

Cook at medium flame. 

Give frequent stir and cook till the chicken pieces comes soft. 

Finally add the ground coconut paste.

Saute till the  masala gets dry and crispy. Garnish with coriander leaves...
