Arai Keerai Vadai


 


 





Ingredients:


Arai keerai  - 1  cup (cleaned , washed, chopped)

Channa dhal - 1 cup (washed and soaked) 

Onion - 1 no (medium size, chopped)

Red chillies - 4 nos 

Sombu - 1 tsp

Asafoetida - 1 tsp

Curry leaves - a few

Salt - as you need 

Oil - to deep fry



Method:


                                  Soak the channa dhal for 1/2 an hour before you start.


                              After half an hour drain the water from the channa dhal.
                     Grind red chillies , salt, asafoetida first. Add drained channa dhal and

                                                        grind without adding water.  



                 Add  finely chopped  onion, curry leaves and sombu to the ground dough. 

                                      Now add the chopped keerai and mix well .

                    Wet your hands and take a small quantity of the dough make vadai ,



                                           In a pan , put oil , heat at medium flame. 

                                       Check the oil if hot and put the vadais in the oil. 

                                             Medium flame is very very important.




                                        After one side comes golden brown colour ,

                                       turn it to the other side and allow to comes  crispy. 


                                                 Now take from the oil and serve HoT :)
